Melody Little goes up for a kill in recent action
BRYSON CITY – The Lady Devil volleyball team advanced to the 2nd round of the NCHSAA Volleyball playoffs with a 3-0 sweep of Lincoln Charter School on Saturday. Swain took the match by the scores of 25-20, 25-11, and 25-21.
Lydia Sale paced Swain with a match high 16 kills, followed by Maggie Sutton with 9 and Emily Styles who had 7. Karie Jones and Sutton each had 17 digs, while Alex Treadway had 16 for the Devils. Valerie Arkansas finished with 30 assists from her setters position.
The Lady Devils will next face Hayesville in the 2nd round of the NCHSAA playoffs Tuesday at 6 o’clock here at Swain High School.
