Russell Bigmeat passes the ball in soccer action
The Maroon Devil soccer team picked up another marquee win, this time with a 1-0 shutout of visiting Blue Ridge. Swain picked up the win in what turned out to be a physical match. Nicholas Callahan tallied the lone goal of the game. Callahan found the back of the net off of a crossing pass from Russell Bigmeat midway through the first half. Swain’s Ike Herrin would make the goal stand as he recorded his second career shutout and the first of this season in goal for the Devils.
Swain 2-1 on the season will host Trimont Christian tonight at 6 from Swain County Memorial Stadium.
