The Maroon Devil baseball had 3 All Smoky Mountain Conference players named last week. Seniors Tanner Burrell, Cody Dills, and Bronson Lindsay were selected to the all conference list.
Tanner Burrell led the Maroon Devils in hitting with a banner season. The thirdbaseman finished with a .535 batting average, 2nd highest batting average that has been found at Swain. He tallied 38 hits to go along with scoring 36 runs (both believed to be school records), while driving in 23 runs and stealing 16 bases.
Cody Dills finished with a .410 batting average. Dills on base percentage was .517, and he scored 28 runs with 14 rbi and 8 stolen bases. He posted a .952 fielding percentage playing both first and second base.
Bronson Lindsay hit .413 fpr the season. Lindsay was the Devils primary run producer driving in a team high 30 run on the season, with 7 doubles.
Honorable Mention All SMC were Dylan Rose and Taylor Jones.
