Karie Jones pitched a 2 hit shutout Tuesday
Swain won their 6th in a row Tuesday, and in doing so posted their first shutout of the season. Sophomore Karie Jones tossed a 2 hit shutout, to earn her 4th win of the season.
Jones got plenty of offensive help. Junior Kendra Kirkland hit her 8th home run of the season and drove in a team high 5 runs for the Devils. Maggie Sutton and Nikki Cody continued their torrid run as each went 3-3 on the day. Junior Shelby Lindsay drove in 3 runs with a pair of hits.
Swain scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 5th to end the game in 5 innings. Kirkland hit a bases loaded double, that cleared the bases and pushed the Lady Devils over the top with 12 runs.
