Senior Abbe Kirby drove in a pair of runs in the Lady Devils win
Junior Kendra Kirkland smashed a pair of home runs in her first two at bats Tuesday. Kirkland and the Lady Devils took their season opening win by the score of 11-1 over Cherokee. Kirkland drove in four runs with her pair of home runs, while Abbe Kirby drove in a pair of runs. Jessica Winchester went 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Swain swiped 11 bases, including 3 from Summer Hight.
Maggie Sutton worked 5 innings to pick up her first varsity win. Sutton struck out 7 and gave up only 2 hits and 2 walks on the day.
