Senior Tanner Burrell had 3 hits and 3 rib, including a solo home run for the Devils
Tanner Burrell had 3 hits, including his first career home run, to go along with 3 rbi and a pair of runs scored in leading the Devils to an 14-0 win over visiting Cherokee. Burrell hit a home run to deep left in the bottom of the first to put the Devils on top for good. In the second & fourth Burrell provided rbi singles. Garrett Lane had a pair of hits and scored twice for the Devils. Bronson Lindsay drove in a team high 4 runs on the day.
Jamy Oocuma did the rest. The sophomore right hander worked five innings scattering four hits and striking out 9 over his five innings of work.
Swain is now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in SMC play.
