Swain County High School is pleased to announce that Maroon Devil standout Corbin Panther has signed to continue his football career with Mars Hill. Panther was a 3 year starter on the offensive and defensive line for the Maroon Devils, and was an All WNC as well as All Smoky Mountain Conference selection. This season on defense Panther had 102 tackles and a team high 6 sacks. Panther was a key on the offensive line that helped the Devils amass 6339 yards of total offense this season. During Panther’s 3 years as a starter the Devils compiled a 37-7 mark, including 30-2 over the past two seasons that saw the Devils win the 2011 State 1AA Championship and the 2012 State 1AA Runner-up.
