Just what the doctor ordered with 2 days of practice, a double overtime thriller. The Devils eventually ran out of legs with just 2 days of practice and fell 88-84 to Cherokee in the season opener for Swain.
Seth Littlejohn nailed a three pointer as the buzzer sounded in the first overtime to send the game to the extra period. Littlejohn finished with a team high 29 points, including 12 in the overtime periods.
Matthew Maennle paced Swain with a game high 36 points. The Devils shot well the whole game, but with multiple players logging 40 minutes they had little left to finish off the Braves.
Greg Tisho finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists despite playing almost the entire second half with 4 fouls. Raymius Smith scored 14 points and dished out 5 asssists, while Corbin Panther added 10 points. Tanner Burrell had a game high 11 rebounds for the Devils.
