Swain senior linebacker Payton Parker was named the 2012 State Championship defensive MVP for Swain at Saturday’s game. Parker was credited with being in on 16 total tackles for the game. His 16 tackles were the most of anyone from either team.
Parker anchored the Maroon Devil defense all season, and finished with 107 tackles on the season, including 6 for loss, 1 interception and 1 fumble 
recovery.
