No one could have guessed that the Maroon Devils would have the season they have had so far. Offensively the Devils have shattered records at an amazing pace. The primary beneficiary of the Devils offensive output has been kicker Colyn Petty. Petty shattered the season mark for extra points made a few weeks ago, now he is just adding to the record books.
Petty has made good on 79 of his 90 extra point attempts, 10 more than the previous record held by Nic Zimmerman. Previously no one had even attempted more than 72 extra points in a season. With the Devils putting up an astounding 96 touchdowns on the season, Petty has attempted 90 of those extra points.
Friday Petty and the Devils hope he gets several more chances at extra points.
