Matthew Maennle has had a banner year by anyone’s standard. He has already set school records for his career numbers. Maennle and fellow receiver Greg Tisho both went over 1000 yards receiving on the season, becoming only the 2nd and 3rd receivers to do so in school history.
Maennle now is only 1 touchdown shy of the WNC record for touchdown receptions in a season. Murphy’s Georgie Kerber snagged 22 touchdown passes during his senior season for the Dogs. After last friday Maennle now has 21 touchdown receptions on the season.
Also on the radar for Maennle, he is only 2 catches shy of the school record for receptions in a season. Currently he has 60, and now trails Jeff Hurley’s single season record of 62.
