The Swain High soccer team picked up a 3-0 win earlier this week. With the win the Devils move to 6-6-2 on the season, and have Hayesville left on their schedule.
Swain downed Cherokee earlier in the week behind outstanding goalkeeping from Ike Herrin. Herrin with the Devils playing solid defense in front of him notched Swain’s first shutout in six years.
Matt Mordhorst tallied all three goals for the Devils. Last week against Murphy Mordhorst tallied two goals in the Devils 5-3 loss. Ryver Gunter notched the other Swain goal against the Dogs. With his latest barrage Mordhorst now has 20 goals on the season to lead the Devils in scoring.
