Swain 3rd At Hiwassee Dam

Running without one of their top runners, Harlin Moody who was suffering from an illness, Swain’s boys harriers finished third at Hiawassee Dam in the latest Smoky Mountain Conference meet.  Once again, Russell Bigmeat led the boys’ team followed quickly by Alex Cook, who continues to gain on the top runners in the Smoky Mountain Conference.  Swain’s runners finished in the following places:

 

1)      Russell Bigmeat-8^th Place

2)      Alex Cook-10^th Place

3)      Nathan Southards-19^th Place

4)      Sam Dixon-29^th Place

5)      Ryan Bennett-34^th Place

6)      Alex Pilon-36^th Place

 

Team Scores were as follows:

 

1)      Hayesville-41

2)      Robbinsville-90

3)      Swain-100 

4)      Cherokee-129

 

All of the other Smoky Mountain Conference teams did not field a full team for this race.  Swain travels to Hayesville next Wednesday for their last regular season meet of the 2012 season.
