BRYSON CITY, WNC – The Lady Devils dropped 5 straight games to open the 2012 season, but made up for it when it mattered the most. Trailing 2 games to none Swain got up off the deck and won 3 straight games to take the match 3-2 over Franklin.
Swain got timely serving in games 3, 4, and 5 from Alex Treadway, Jenn Brown, and Kelley Brown to help build leads in each of those games. And with good passing to setter Valerie Arkansas the Devils were able to get into their offense.
Thursday the Devils travel to Brevard.
