MURPHY, WNC – Scored 3 runs in the top of the first and never looked back taking a 7-0 win over Murphy in the regular season finale for both teams.
Brittany Shuler, Nikki Cody, and Brooke Coggins all singled to start the game. All three would later score as well.
Breanna Bryant drove in 2 runs with a sacrifice fly and a double, while Coggins and Jessica Winchester had a pair of hits each in the win.
Richelle Jenkins pitched another gem, shutting out the Bulldogs despite having flu like symptoms.
With the win the Lady Devils wrap up the SMC Championship, making their 8th straight SMC title and 9th out of the last 10 years.
