MURPHY, WNC – The Swain Boys Track Team competed in their second conference meet of the season against Murphy, Rosman, and Highlands. Swain finished second behind host team, Murphy.
Individual winners included Greg Tisho in the shot put, Cody Ellis in the 200 meter race, Alex Cook in the 800 meter race, Tyler Wike in the 3200 meter race, and the 4×200 meter relay team of Lee Patillo, Cody Rich, Colby Hyatt, and Cody Ellis. Also, Austin Curtice won both the 110 meter and the 300 meter intermediate hurdles. Garrett Lowe received two second place finishes in the long jump and triple jump, while Dylan Rose finished second in the high jump.
Swain will compete next Wednesday at Cherokee High School.
