BRYSON CITY, National – Eleven members of the Swain High Varisty Football Cheerleaders will leave on Thursday, January 5th, to begin preperations to participate in the Allstate National Champtionship Game halftime show. The team was invited back in February to participate in this Bowl Game afte their performance in the Gator Bowl halftime show last year. They will be one team among 18 other teams from around the nation. There will be a little time for sight seeing on Friday Morning, but then halftime show practices will begin Friday evening. Practice will continue for the next two days at 10 hours a day and then a dress rehearsal for the game on Monday morning. The routine has been created by world renowned choreographer Dave Scott who has choreographed such movies as “You Got Served” and “Stomp the Yard.” The team is really excited to work with such renowned choreographer. The game will be televised Monday night on ESPN beginning at 8 p.m.
